Acceptable Use Policy
Guidelines for responsible use of Syslok. Keep it safe for everyone.

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules for using the Syslok platform. It supplements our Terms of Service and is designed to ensure the Service remains safe, secure, and reliable for all users.
3. Prohibited Activities
Unauthorized Access
- Access any device, system, or network without the owner's informed consent
- Use social engineering or deception to gain remote access (e.g., tech support scams)
- Access devices beyond the scope of authorization granted to you
Malicious Activity
- Deploy, distribute, or execute malware, ransomware, spyware, or any malicious software
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks or degrade the Service for other users
- Exfiltrate data, credentials, or intellectual property without authorization
- Use remote sessions to conduct surveillance without consent
Platform Abuse
- Circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or feature gates
- Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions or bans
- Use automated tools to create sessions or register devices at scale without approval
- Interfere with the relay infrastructure or other users' sessions
Illegal Content & Activity
- Transmit content that violates any applicable law or regulation
- Use the Service in connection with any form of harassment, abuse, or exploitation
- Violate export control or sanctions laws
4. Security Research
We support responsible security research. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to security@syslok.com. Do not access other users' data or disrupt the Service during testing.
5. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
Request to cease the prohibited activity
Temporary suspension of your account
Permanent termination of your account
Reporting to law enforcement if criminal activity is suspected
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action at our discretion.
6. Reporting Abuse
If you believe someone is using Syslok in violation of this policy, please report it to abuse@syslok.com with as much detail as possible.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service.
